ask.com, customized, do it yourself, one click, search engine, specialize

AskJeeves has reinvented itself. The fourth most popular U.S. Internet search site has not only changed its name Ask.com, surely shorter and more emphatic but now has also added a brand new DIY toolbox.
“Users are going to experience a search engine that does more for them faster than any other search engine they use”, said Jim Lanzone, general manager of Ask.com.
The toolbox allows to customize and specialize the search with just one-click: from maps to documents stored on your computer.
Competitors search sites like Google or Yahoo require multiple clicks to reach such specialized information.

For the environmentally conscious consumers, microbes are the next big…small thing. Imagine now a world in which microbes will be not be distroyed anymore but used as a source of energy. J. identity 2.0, mash up, remixability, web 2.0

Remixability has contaminated my brain, a mash up of thoughts and tags without begin and without end. I’m losing the center and searching the source but I’m finding only connections. I’m focusing on simplicity but the personalization is a chaos of expressions, a mix of codes. The future is the network but without partecipation the network remains just a word. We are all perpertual betas and all these experiments are more real then the real world. I dream profiles just because I’m sharing datas with you. Trust and collaborate, the system is opened and user centered. Sixdegrees of separation inside of my mind and a social hardware is replacing my software. Web 2.0 is stealing my Identity.

exhibitionism, ich me moi, narcissism, self experimentation, self expression, self love, voyeurism

It is all about that…ich, me, moi,…io. Self-expression, self-love, self-experimentation. The web gives power to the people and people use the power to satisfy their needs and desires. Web is a dreamland in which narcissism and exhibitionism are the norm and voyeurism is a lifestyle. Just have a look to these two weird and obsessive projects and then tell me your theory about that.
